There were a good number of people riding at Andres Park today. A few folk have asked for a trail map of Andres Park. Here is a rough GPS of the trails taken this morning. The red trails are in place (need some work in places). 0.7 miles of single track that will also act as the return path for the gravity and downhill lines. Skills park complete and 2 jumps lines in place. It is by no means manicured and needs to be ridden in. It will continue to improve all the time.
CAMBr, Carpentersville, and Andres Bike Park are in the news! The city of Carpentersville could soon be THE hub for cycling in the Northwest suburbs!
A $20,000 grant from REI will help members of the Chicago Area Mountain Bikers volunteer organization further their work at both Raceway Woods and Keith Andres Bike Park in Carpentersville.
Big thanks to all of our volunteers that made it out this weekend to help us prep for the bike jam! Some of you like Plainfield Bike Park and the group from Michigan made a serious trip to help us out! Next weekend is going to be a huge success for the park and for the community and it is because we have such great volunteers!
New feature built today. Thanks to all the volunteers that helped out
Join us at the park today in prep for next weekend. We will be working on both the bike park and the singletrack if we have enough folks. Starting 9am and probably running all day.
